REQUIRED DOCUMENTS & CONDITIONS
Those who have completed 17 years of age can register and appear for the written test
- Applicant must appear in person
- Must carry valid passport with National Identity Card or National Identity Card number.

Medical certificate obtained from Nugegoda National Transport Medical Center should be carried. (You can make an appointment by calling 225 or by E-chanelling – below the link)
https://www.echannelling.com/driving-license-medical - Original copy of birth certificate or a true copy certified by Additional District Registrar should be carried.
- Gramsevaka certificate should be carried if National ID is changed
Motor Transport Department Registration Fees
- For 1 vehicle class Rs. 3,250/=
- For 2 vehicle class Rs. 4,750/=
- For 3 vehicle class Rs. 5,250/=
